Blackberry Sheet Cake

Servings: 12 to 14 servings Prep. Time: 10 min prep 35 to 40 min bake Print

   This is an easy cake to make and can be taken to any event. It will be a very popular dessert.



Ingredients

   1  cup butter
   2  cups sugar
   3  eggs
   2  cups blackberries, undrained
   3  cups flour
   2  tsp. soda
   1  tsp. each, cinnamon, cloves, and nutmeg

Frosting:
1/2   whole milk
1/2  cup butter
   2  cups brown sugar

 



Directions

   Cream butter and sugar, add eggs one at a time.  Add spices and soda, then flour, one cup at a time.
   Grease a 9 x 13 x 2 inch baking dish and spread evenly.
   BAKE at 350 F for 35 to 40 minutes.

Frosting:
   Cook to soft boil, spread on cake ( Do not overcook )
