QUICK No-Bake Tiramisu Cake

   This creamy tiramisu cake is a cinch to make!



Ingredients

   1  6 oz Frozen poundcake
1/2  cup hot water
   1  T instant coffee granules
1/2  cup almond-flavored liqueur, like Amaretto
   8  oz Mascarpone cheese
3/4  cup confectioner's sugar
   2  up heavy cream
   2  T unsweetened cocoa powder
Chocolate curls, optional



Directions

   Remove cake from pan;  reserve.

   Line same pan with enough foil to overhang sides by 2 inches.

   Stir water into coffee until dissolved;  stir in liqueur.

   Stir together mascarpone, 1/2 cup sugar and 2 tablespoons liqueur mixture until combined.

   In separate bowl beat cream with remaining sugar until stiff.  Fold 1 cup whipped cream into mascarpone mixture.

   Refrigerate remaining whipped cream.

   Assemble as follows:  Insert toothpicks halfway up sides of cake.  Using toothpicks as a guide with knife horizontally cut cake in half.  Place cake layers on surface, cut-sides up.  With toothpick poke holes in cake.  

   Spoon half of liqueur mixture over each layer.  Place 1 layer in pan cut-side up.  Spread with mascarpone mixture.  Top with remaining layer cut-side down.

   Chill 30 minutes.

   Place platter over cake in pan. Invert cake onto platter;  remove foil.

   Spread cake with reserved whipped cream. Sprinkle top with cocoa. Garnish with curls, if desired.

   Refrigerate.
