QUICK Chocolate-Bananas Foster Cake
| Servings: 18 Servings | Prep. Time: 15 Min Prep 30 Min Bake |
Devilishly delicious! This is a quick mix cake, but it takes time to bake.
Ingredients
1 box Devil's food cake mix
1 cup sour cream
2 Bananas, peeled and mashed
2 T peanut butter
1 can (16oz) caramel frosting
1 can (16oz) chocolate frosting
2 T fat-free chocolate sauce
2 T chopped peanuts
Directions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Prepare cake mix according to package directions, but reducing water to 3/4 cup, adding sour cream and dividing among 3 greased and floured 9" pans.
Bake according to package directions; cool.
In skillet, cook bananas 3 minutes. Mix bananas, peanut butter and caramel frosting. Top 1 cake layer with 1/3 banana mixture and second cake layer; repeat. Spread with remaining banana mixture. Spoon 1/2 cup chocolate frosting into pastry bag with star tip, or use ziploc bag with corner cut if you don't have pastry bag; reserve.
Coat sides with chocolate frosting; pipe reserved frosting around edge.
Add sauce and nuts.
