QUICK, Clear, Very Thin Cake Glaze

Servings: Covers one Cake Prep. Time: 5 min Prep and Cook Print

   This is the kind of glaze to pour over a bundt cake, cup cakes or tea breads.  It will dress up that simple little cake into something for company!

*NOTE: This recipe makes enough for 1 9-inch fruit or applesauce cake.



Ingredients

      2  T water
2 1/2  T corn syrup
      1  tsp. flavoring, vanilla, almond, etc.
      2  cups confectioner's sugar



Directions

   Combine all ingredients in a double boiler over boiling water.  Heat until hot, stirring constantly.
   Pour, while still hot, over cake so that it barely covers cake.
