Dessert Wine Sauce

Servings: Makes 2 Cups Prep. Time: 10 Min Total Prep Print

   This simple sauce works well to dress up plain pound cake, gingerbread, or plum pudding.



Ingredients

   1  cup sugar
   2  T flour
1/2  cup unsalted butter
   1  cup wine



Directions

   Blend flour and sugar.

   Add butter and wine and heat to boiling point.

   Reduce heat and simmer a minute or two.

   Serve warm or cold.
