| Servings: 6 servings | Prep. Time: 10 min prep 45 min cook |
These are good as appetizers or with noodles for dinner.
Ingredients
1 egg, lightly beaten
1 pkg. onion soup mix
1 1/2 lb. ground chuck
1/2 cup uncooked rice
1 cup tomato soup
1 tsp. sugar
Directions
Mix beaten egg with 2 tsp. soup mix, add to chuck and 1/4 cup rice. Shape into 12 balls; roll these in remaining rice.
Heat tomato soup and water to boiling; stir in remaining onion, soup and sugar.
Pour into a baking dish, place meatballs in this. Simmer 45 minutes or until meat is tender.
NOTE* The sugar will take away the acidic taste of the tomato soup.
